Celebrate...

July 4th  is heading closer and I am all excited for the long weekend and to see the fireworks at the downtown. I enjoy fireworks a lot :) and to add to this enjoyment CASology Week 51 gave me a perfect Cue Card - FIREWORKS and House of Cards #1 which is up with it's very first challenge - FUN & CUTE gave me the right colors to create this one.

As always, I wanted to add a self created element into my card. I don't know why I do that but somehow it satisfies my creative mojo ;) So this time I hand drew a box of fire crackers, pictures of which have been added down below. It was colored with color pencils and I added some blue and red glitter to match the colors. I have this amazing Embossing folder - Fireworks from Darice which I used to emboss my card base. The focal image was added using foam dots and some star embellishments were added :)

The photos of my hand drawn focal image are -

  3. OK, my friend, time to start a stamp company! Your illustrations are amazing and I'm sure that you could sell them to a lot of us, shall we say, 'lesser talented in the drawing area' cardmakers! Love this card - it's like the anticipation before the show! Thanks for playing along with us at CASology this week!

  15. Listen, Deepti, with your talent, we would all be disappointed if you DIDN'T add a handmade element to your stunning cards! Your box of firecrackers left me with my jaw dropping!! Holy cow, girl, the talent you have. I say it every time, but some stamp company needs to snap you up!! Better yet, you need to start your own! (I really do say that every time, don't I?!)

Thank you for the birthday wishes! If you don't put your birthdate on your side bar, please let me know in an email or comment on my blog (so I'm sure to see it) when it is! Thank you! Happy 4th!!
